General contractors: one partner for the textile package of your projects
On a hotel, serviced-residence or office project, the curtain and textile package is small in value but big in risk: last package installed, first thing seen at handover, and systematically checked by the fire-safety committee. Grimpe Aux Rideaux takes charge of it end to end — engineering, French manufacturing, installation, handover file — so you never have to think about it.
Why general contractors hand us the textile package
An orphan package, structured at last
Too often the curtain package is split between a fabric supplier, a maker and an installer — three diluted responsibilities. We carry the package whole, with a single contractual commitment on compliance, quality and deadlines.
A professional reading of your specifications
We answer on your specifications or FF&E schedules: fire and acoustic requirements analysed, inconsistencies flagged before ordering, equal-performance alternatives proposed when budget demands it. Our method is detailed in our guide to securing a hospitality tender.
Deadlines held, even when the site slips
Textiles are installed at the very end, when everyone else's delays have piled up. We produce ahead on validated dimensions, store finished items and install with reinforced teams to absorb schedule compression — without compromising installation quality.
A reserve-free handover file
Fire classification reports (M1, Euroclasses) per fabric and per room, care sheets, layout plans: your textile handover file arrives complete, ready for the fire-safety committee. See our guide to fire ratings.
What our textile package covers
- Bespoke curtains, sheers and blackouts, including thermal and acoustic technical curtains
- Tracks, poles and motorised systems, supplied and installed
- Headboards, throws, cushions and seating from the FF&E schedule
- Site surveys, prototypes in a model room, full installation
- Maintenance stock for the operator
How we work with you
At tender stage: pricing on specifications with reasoned alternatives. In preparation: surveys, model room, fabric validation with the architect and your client. In execution: planned production, progress reports, installation coordinated with your scheduler. At handover: immediate snag clearance, complete file, contractual guarantee.
Frequently asked questions
Do you work as a declared subcontractor?
Yes — classic subcontracting with client approval, or direct supply-and-install depending on your setup. Our insurance and compliance certificates are provided at tender stage.
Can you price from plans, without surveys?
Yes: we price from joinery schedules or architect plans with explicit assumptions, then verify by survey before launch — any variance is handled transparently.
What if the fire-safety committee requests a certificate?
Every fabric delivered is traceable to its classification report. We provide supporting documents within 24 hours, even years after handover.
